OTOP Walking Street

30 September 2024

The Bang Khen District Office has joined hands with The Jas Ramintra to promote and gather OTOP products as part of efforts to stimulate the local economy and support the development of local entrepreneurs’ potential under the “OTOP Walking Street” project. The Jas Ramintra has allocated space within its shopping complex to serve as a venue for showcasing and selling OTOP products covering a wide range of categories, including local foods, processed foods, herbal products, beverages, household items, handicrafts, and local souvenirs.

This initiative not only provides local entrepreneurs with an opportunity to present their high-quality and unique products to a broader audience, but also helps expand marketing channels and generate additional income for small producers in the area. Such support promotes sustainable community-based economic development and fosters a continuous flow of income within the local economy. Moreover, the event aims to promote and preserve local culture and traditional wisdom, reflecting the distinctive identity and values of the Bang Khen community. It also helps strengthen pride and awareness of the importance of Thailand’s cultural heritage.

In addition, the Bang Khen District Office and The Jas Ramintra have organized a series of special activities within the event, including live demonstrations of OTOP products by local entrepreneurs, creative workshops, traditional cultural performances, and learning activities about Thai wisdom, offering participants a valuable and engaging experience. This collaboration reflects the strong partnership between the public and private sectors in driving sustainable local economic development while fostering positive relationships among communities, organizations, and residents. Together, they aim to build a thriving and sustainable future for the local economy and community.
