Installed Solar Rooftop to reduce electricity costs and greenhouse gas emissions

09 January 2024

To achieve the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainable clean energy use, JAS Asset Public Company Limited has implemented a Private PPA (Private Power Purchase Agreement) solar cell system, which is a form of electricity purchase agreement from solar energy. JGS Synergy Power Company Limited, a subsidiary of Jaymart Group operating in the renewable energy business and providing comprehensive solutions, is responsible for installing and managing the entire system.

This project is part of the environmentally responsible business approach (Environmental Responsibility), aiming to reduce reliance on fossil fuel energy and increase the proportion of renewable energy used in the operations of shopping centers, in line with the country’s goal of achieving Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero Emission in the future.

In the current year 2025, Private PPA solar cell systems have been installed in 6 out of 8 branches, namely:

  • The Jas Wanghin
  • Jas Village Amata
  • Jas Green Village Khu Bon
  • Jas Green Village Bangbuathong
  • Jas Green Village Prawet
  • Jas Green Village Ramkhamhaeng

In 2025, the company purchased electricity units from JGS Synergy Power Company Limited totaling 3,161,663.50 kWh, amounting to 9,747,651.44 Baht, which can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 1,480.29 tCO2eq. *The data on greenhouse gas emission reduction is referenced from the calculation file of the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO).

The implementation of this project not only helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions from electricity use in shopping centers but also helps lower long-term energy costs, create energy stability, improve building management efficiency, and promote the organization’s active participation in addressing climate change concretely.
